I'm going to be a bit nit-picky. In 2020, Ionescu only played 2.5 games. The notable player, other than Carter, who was most responsible for those numbers was Rooke Of The Year, Crystal Dangerfield. Crystal was 11th in the league in scoring at 16.2 ppg and also put up 3.6 apg.
It's arguably more practical to list K. Mattera as K. Feenstra since that was her name for every year of her career except the last. Maybe the record books now officially show her as Mattera, but to the extent anyone cares or remembers, she's Katie Feenstra.
Really important feedback/context. Much appreciated. There were definitely somewhat similar situations like this in other rookies classes, although maybe not quite as extreme as Sabrina's. Even recently...Cameron Brink (2024). But your points are valid, so thank you!
