The Roundup
Due to the holiday break, there have been very few games since last week’s roundup. There will also be no Hoopfeed Top 25 ballot story because only one day of games has concluded since last week. As a result, we have a shorter Weekly Roundup for you this week and will return to full strength next Sunday.
Among the more notable events of the past week, the WNBA and the WNBPA extended the current CBA through Jan. 15 and stated that they plan to begin free agency on Feb. 1. For a closer look at what is at stake in the negotiations, check out this great piece from High Post Hoops.
In last week’s Roundup, I touched on Texas’ win over then-No. 1 Stanford. That turned out to be perfect timing because mere hours after the Roundup was sent out, we also released the newest episode of the HHS Podcast, in which our John Liddle interviewed Texas head coach Karen Aston. It is a great episode, so make sure to check it out and subscribe to the podcast if you haven’t already!
