Really? You say Desi Rae Young over McKenna Hofschild but Hofschild is one of the top guards in the country? Insane. ridiculous.

Hi Katie, this is Aneela. I picked Desi Rae Young over McKenna Hofschild because while Hofschild is indeed having a great season, Young is also having a great season and while the numbers aren't as impressive, I'm waiting to see a bit more from Hofschild before going against the conference's pick for preseason Player of the Year. Lastly, UNLV was picked to win the Mountain West and players on the best team generally have an edge in Player of the Year voting.

Well it sounds to me like you haven't really been watching Hofschild, then. UNLV hasn't really played difficult competition yet. CSU has. And Hofschild has put up numbers against that competition. CSU is also the 2nd best team in the conference per your site right now. in 2021, the player who won POY was on the 4th best team. Please, pay more attention instead of just going with the reigning POY.

Not to mention she ranks 11th in win shares, which is higher than Desi Rae Young. And has played against a tougher non conference schedule than UNLV. Pay attention, for goodness sakes, @herhoopstats!
