The Roundup
By the time most of you are reading this, it will be game day for Oregon vs. Stanford which will air on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. CST.
Oregon now knows this will be the final season for its three biggest stars with Satou Sabally declaring for the WNBA Draft, joining seniors Sabrina Ionescu and Ruthy Hebard. The pressure for the Ducks to cap off their four-year ascent into one of the elite programs in the nation was already very strong, and that news only adds to the pressure.
Although Stanford has been playing second fiddle to Oregon this season, the Cardinal can move into a tie for first in the Pac-12 with just a few regular-season games remaining. Something to watch is how well Stanford can disrupt Oregon’s passing. Oregon averages 21.1 assists per game, which is third in the nation, while Stanford allows just 9.6 per game, good for ninth in Division I.
For some extra perspective while watching the game, you can check out our live discussion of the game where you can chat with us and get some real-time analysis from the HHS staff. The discussion will be available here, starting 30 minutes before the first tip.
